Serving our Community
Housing Programs
We provide safe and affordable housing solutions for individuals and families across Huron and Beadle County. From administering the Housing Choice Voucher Program (“Section 8”) to offering housing options for elderly, disabled, and moderate-income residents, our goal is to make housing accessible to those in need.
Homeowner Support
Through our Housing Rehab Program, we assist income-qualified homeowners with essential repairs and property improvements. These upgrades not only enhance safety and livability but also improve the appearance of our neighborhoods and strengthen our community as a whole.
Financial Assistance
We remove barriers to stable housing by offering the Security Deposit Assistance Program, helping residents cover upfront costs that often prevent them from moving into a home. Each year, we also bring significant federal housing dollars into the community, supporting both tenants and local landlords.
Community Engagement
We are guided by a five-member board of directors appointed by the City of Huron, with meetings open to the public each month. We welcome community involvement and remain committed to transparency, accountability, and advancing our mission of providing decent, safe, and sanitary housing for all.
